Since I moved back to AL, my ol' truck has been home to a couple nests at any given time (except winter, of course), and I'd fog the crap out of it a day or two before driving it anywhere.
Though I've been in and out of the truck numerous times between treatments (they always move back in), never got stung. On the river trail this past Saturday, my better half and I were watching our little girl play near the river in Tuscaloosa when suddenly we were set upon by an angry swarm. My wife got out of the way in time, but I got nailed about 5 times... once in the right index fingertip joint and the rest on the back of my neck.
So... I've decided to find some more permanent method of ridding my truck of these guys. Today I tucked Bounce dryer sheets in the door cracks, wheelwells, and under the hood, as I've heard they hate the smell. I also have a bottle of Mint extract for future experimentation.
The only other natural issue I'm having is pollen, but that's relatively easy to deal with.
