Wiring harness is fried. Help?

I just bought my 1986 k10. Its got a 350 bored .60 over and I was told it had a 'mild' cam. Its lifted 9 inches and sitting 44" super swampers. 4 speed manual tranny as well. It definitely needs work. The guy I bought it from didn't really take care of it. I'm not looking for a total restore, but I want it to be solid and clean. I just found out that the wiring harness is fried on the left side going to the fuse box. Looking for help or ideas. I'm sure I will be asking many more questions as I am new to doing a lot of this work. I am mechanically inclined tho.

Inside the cab or under the hood?

Either way you can get a used one or buy a big spool of wire and replace the bad wires one at a time

With 44s.  I'm assuming the PO swapped in Dana 60s?
With 4.88 or 5.30 gears ?

The stock 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton axles won't last long with 44s

Inside the cab. And no. Still has stock rear end.  I know that's an issue. I need to replace the rear end. But don't have the cash yet. Right now I'm just trying to get it on the road and mechanically sound. I've been told you have to change the front and rear both. You can't just change the rear end?

You can change the rear end just make sure the gear ratios are the same

You need a set of Dana 60s from one of the military pickups

Yeah. I'm looking for a set of Dana 60's. I've already replaced plugs, wires, brakes front and rear, brake lines rear, all of the u-joints and ball joints, oil and filter, leaf spring brackets in the rear, alternator and some hoses. It needs a lot of help, but I'm feeling like I'm making progress.
