I just use a 3\8 X1 1\4 bolt with a nut.Screw in the bolt till just snug and tighten the nut,dont over do it.Makes for a good jumper cable connection as well

when i first got my crew cab we took it for a gentle run in the mud pit. didnt hit the holes just tested 4x4. but hit a couple ruts no biggie, got back to the shop the po had something like what roger posted on the battery. well one of the ruts knocked the battery off the tray. ened up ripping the brass threads right out of the battery. put a regular bolt back in and she was good to go

I've never got the hang of the whole "don't over do it" thing. Which is why I'm so fat. :)
