Newbie...Los Angeles, CA
« on: January 21, 2015, 04:53:58 PM »
Hi everyone!  I got myself a 1975 C10 short bed recently in a trade.  Unfortunately, the previous owner/builder wasn't very good at owning or building the truck...so I've been wrestling with the issues.  For example, the previous owner put a brand new 383 in....but put the cam bearings in wrong, which ate up everything inside.  Thankfully I caught it before it did too much damage.  So now...I just finished with the re-rebuild and am breaking in a fresh 390ci with Isky cam, high performance heads, Performer RMP dual plane intake, and QFT Carb.  The truck's power now is insane.....now I just have to be careful not to snap the junky rear end mods (it has airbags all the way around).

I'll be posting pics here sooner or later.  I've been a part of forums for my Harleys and my MG Midget work.  It's been amazing how many awesome people I've met....particularly through my MG Midget rebuild.  So I'm looking forward to making friends around here, now that I'm back in my '75 C10.

The truck is my daily driver.  If you're local, let me know....I go to the Montrose cars and coffee pretty often...maybe we can meet up.  If you're not local....I'd still love to meet you.

Thank you in advance for all of your help!
