 Is there a wood bed kit for a 81-87 short bed fleet side? If not has any one modded one in their short bed? Any pics or how to threads?

This guy seems to have all the bits. It looks like you'll have to pick and choose to come up with a set. Most places like this, all it takes is a phone call and they can put it all together for you if you're not sure you're planning it right.
