This truck is a mess on basic things. I have no idea what lines are supposed to be hooked where. The only ones connected are the manifold port from the carb to the auto transmission line, the distributor to the carb, and the break booster to the back of the carb. It has duel tanks, and I can see that the lines from the tanks are connected to separate carb bowl/charcoal filters, but then nowhere else. When I got it the distributor/ tranny lines where hooked to the opposite ports. So I'm at a total loss on how and what should be connected with the after market carb and intake.any help would be greatly appreciated.

So it does not keep fuel in the line. So when I start it I have to pump it up before hand then when it turns over lay on the throttle and keep at revved till it warms or it dies. Runs fine, but idle is rough.

Someone in the know will chime in.  For starters make sure any line pulling any vacuum is plugged with something if it's not plugged in to something.

What vacuum lines do you have that need places to go? Where do they originate?  As far as I know the charcoal filter acts as a vent for the fuel tanks.  Shouldn't have anything to do with vacuum.

Did it run better with the distributor hooked to the other port? Have you checked your timing since you switched it?

Post some photos too if you can?

It does run better now that the tranny line is hooked to manifold vacuum. Before that switch it was stumbling and shifting at a higher than ideal rpm. The only connected lines are the distributor, tranny, PVC to carb only, and brake booster. Its a non egr manifold. Has a carb bowl and charcoal filter neither have anything connected other than fuel. Not sure what can/ should be bypassed at this point.

New info: I can hear air when I press my brake peddle. When at idle in park as I press my brake in my idle momentarily speeds up. This has to be a vacuum issue. It's just the where to start on the factory lines that is the problem. The lines for cruise control, a/c, and heat are cut and gone. Carb bowl mounted near what is supposed to be wiper resivoir(missing) has all lines from it cut only attached line is from fuel tank. Charcoal filter by radiator has all lines from it cut except for return line to pump.

the brake booster can leak causing a big vacuum leak. i found mine to leak around where the master cylinder bolts to the booster.
