lohrtbt, moniter for the 73-87chevytruckschat has a great looking tweed covered dash on his truck. he told me that he even covered the emblem on the pass side too.
check out his B@d @$$ truck here:

I was going to do the same, but came across a perfect dash in the u-pull-it yard.. a lucky day for me....

my original dash had some cracks, but you can trim them back and use some body filler to smooth them and then cover the top with the dense 1/4" foam that uph shops use.  the spray can glue from 3m works great, too.

I have uased body filler for alot of things but never on a dash pad! I'll have to give that a try, maybey instead of foam some spray bomb chip gaurd and some paint? Or the spray bomb bed liner? It's just a plow truck. Sounds kinda cave manish, but what the heck I'll try anything one time.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs
