Hello from Kansas

I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. My name is Bryce and I'm from Emporia, Kansas and have been on various forums throughout the years. I'm not sure if there are any other members close by but I am more than willing to meet up and turn a wrench if help is needed. The last few weeks I have been lurking through a few of the threads to help me in making my truck road worthy again and I'm sure I will continue to go through as this is a work in progress. I have a 1982 Chevy C10, 305 auto, long bed. It came with the aluminum 8 holes but it currently has some wagon wheels with some used tires as I needed something better than the old, dry rotted tires that were on it. This used to be my Grandad's truck and after he passed away in 2007 it became mine but it stayed on the farm as I was moving around the state at that time and wasn't able to bring it with me. I started working on it at the end of June and I should be able to bring it home this coming Sunday.
There are still plenty of things to repair on the truck but at this point it is safe to drive. To date I have replaced the following: Wheels and tires, Master cylinder and power booster, the front flex hose on the passenger side and the hard line that connects to the flex hose and proportioning valve. I still need to work on replacing every vacuum line under the hood, get the speedometer working again, fix/replace both window motors, replace various light bulbs, windshield (cracked but still okay), door seals, radio, and get the AC working again. I'm sure there are plenty of other things that need tended to but that is immediately on my mind. I will get some pictures loaded up to Photobucket tonight and then post them here on the forum later on.

Here are a few pictures of the truck. It is a little dirty in these pictures but I have cleaned it up some more since these were taken.

Thanks for the welcome, she's pretty dirty in the pictures and eventually I'll get her cleaned up. Most of the dirt is just from sitting inside of a barn for the majority of 8 years. The first couple of years it was parked outside but I moved it inside so mowing would be easier and so the truck would be out of the elements. The feed sacks in the back are filled full of trash that was piled into the back of the bed. Grandma used it as a catch all and work bench, so the next project will be to build her a work table for out there.
