Carburetors?
« on: October 21, 2015, 08:10:08 pm »
So I recently pick up a 76 Chevy K10. The truck is almost road ready. I don't know much about Carburetors. I know by looking at the VIN it's a 350 and its a VIN L indicating a 4 bbl carb. not sure by looking at it if it's 2, 4, quadrajet, or any other type. Pretty sure it's the stock 4 bbl but not sure if it was ever replaced with something else. Suggestions, info. Thanks

dont assume its original on a 40 year old truck. you should be able to find part numbers on the carb and a couple on the engine

Indeed, I thought mine was something completely different than what it was, turns out it was a Carter 4 barrel.  Obviously not original.
