Were tinted Side windows an option on 73-87 pu's?

The reason I ask, is that it is illegal where I live to have tinted side windows unless they were an option from the factory.  I have found these online, but before I go and waste $$$ I had to ask.

Side glass has never been tinted on passenger cars, they might have a color tint, but they were NEVER dark or relatively dark.

What kind of color tints could I put in that would protect from UV but not attract attention?
