Whats worth more? 1970 GMC 4x4 shortbed or the same in 2wd

Hi, I know this is a 73-87 chevy website, which I have 2 truck in those years, but I'm trying to sell my other truck and would like to hear your opinions. I have a 70 GMC 4x4 shortbed truck. Its a project. I want to sell it but I keep getting low offers. I have someone who is wanting to trade me a 2wd drive frame for my 4x4 frame. I personally like the 2wd short beds but I'm not going to keep it. My truck is complete minus the motor. His frame is missing the motor and trans. My truck is rusty, his not so much. Would I be better off keeping it 4x4 or swaping it to 2wd? I live in Sacramento CA so we arent too close to 4x4 isnt really needed. Is a complete 4x4 frame worth more than a 2wd frame? I was thinking about a straight across trade but I dont know. Thanks for the help.

its more of what you want. i only want a 2wd in a car but in my trucks they have to be 4x4. i do have one 2wd but its the wifes first truck and i would love to make it 4x4, we get a fair amount of snow in maryland and i also tend to be off road. ive seen light 4x4s just spin tires in the mud where a heavy 2wd would just walk out of. generally speaking the 4x4 frame will be worth more, not a hole lot maybe 100-300 more imo. and something that might be harder to find like a 70s 4x4 i can see someone paying 500 for it.

Thanks. I also put an ad up asking for a trade and I got a pretty good response. More than I expected. I have 3 people wanting a trade and one has like 10 trucks and he's willing to trade a fully sanded and painted rolling frame complete with transmission, suspension, driveling. He also said if I need anything else he'll throw it in. I have to make a 45 minute drive to meet him half way but I think it will be worth it. Hopefully this restoration will go quick. I'm just hoping for a quick sale and maybe a little profit.
