hydroboost conversion
« on: December 04, 2015, 06:32:55 pm »
I just did a vacuum booster to hydroboost conversion because I wanted addditional braking power due to my engine swap.  The problem I'm having is with the brake switch.  The vacuum booster switch bracket will not work with the hydroboost pedal.  The pedal assembly came out of a 1986 Chevy dually but the bracket was missing.  My local junkyards don't have anything.  Can I swap out to a different brake switch that doesn't require the bracket???

I swapped out one in my K5 and didn't have any issue with the switch...

My brake lights stay on unless I disconnect the battery.  I do not have the proper bracket for the bydroboost pedal assembly.  I was told I needed the hydroboost brake pedal for the hydroboost to operate properly.

Adjust your light button on the pedal.
The pedals are the same except for an auto setup..
