I'm not sure where this wire goes. is it 4 the coolant. my truck is a 73 c10. but it's has a 88 camaro engine

I don't think that is for your temp sender. What color are the wires? Where do they come from? A couple more pics would help.

TCS (optional) feed. Transmission controlled spark.   20T141A.   Radio/TCS fuse
And or throttle stop, also depends on options installed for both.
