New Starter

I have a 3hp mini starter in my build at this time. It can bolt either for the 153 or 168 tooth flexplate. It hung up the other day and is now grinding some. I've always had alignment issues since I got it. Put shims in in various thickness but to no avail.

I'm wanting to change to the high torque starter that is used in the newer vehicles, example 94-?.

I have a 73 with a 357 V8. I checked the engine suffix numbers and it comes back to a 73 C20.

Which starter can I use? I'm looking for the small high torque starter. Anyone have a reference number I can go by?
