Power Steering Reservoir
« on: June 20, 2016, 07:37:20 pm »
I have a 1984 C30 with the 6.2L diesel. I need a new power steering fluid reservoir/tank. I haven't been able to find a replacement listed on any of the parts sites. Any suggestions for a substitute? There is only one hose connected to the tank.

Take a look at the P & G vans and cutaways with the 6.5L, 6.2L, 4BT, or dirtymax.

Be creative.  It doesn't have to sit upright or even be a cylinder...

Oil tanks for custom motor bikes or stockcars with dry sump engines could be modded for this too.  It just has to have at least the volume of the old one with the same diameter exit fitting to keep the hydraulic pump happy and some kind of fill and level check.

That one doesn't look too bad.  Leaking?
