I have read a lot of the posts on the rear corner speakers. Has anyone made a set of boxes out of plywood that fit in the corners?

I didn't build any (yet) but I did have something like these store-bought 6x9 boxes, and when I stand them on end, they wedge right into that spot nicely. If I use a bracket I could easily secure them. They work great.

I bought mine maybe 20-25 years ago, but if you Google 6x9 boxes, you will come up with about a million people that sell them. Even Walmart has them I think.

I made mine to fit in the corners. Used a 3/8" project board

Here's what I put in my truck. scroll down to see the upfiring boxes i built.

If you are wanting bass out of them, it won't happen. other than putting in a sub box, the ONLY way to get any bass out of these trucks is to put in high powered, external amp powered 6x9's in the doors. if you just want high qaulity staging, what I did will get you there. Don't even try for the cab corner speakers. at best they fire the sound into the seat back. for good staging, use the box i built, look at page 14 and page 11 on the link i put above. staging is excellent. no bass without a sub box or putting high powered speakers in the door. pick one or the other.
