A/C heater blower motor housing gasket
« on: July 13, 2016, 06:19:04 pm »
I have a 1974 k10.  I have NO a/c..  I had to replace the heater core in which I had to take off the blower motor housing..  I had to pry off cause of a gasket.  My question is there a gasket for it or did someone just make one for it.  Stupid auto parts guy had no clue..

The Blower Motor goes on the housing in the engine compartment with a gasket.  I destroyed mine when I replace the blower motor.  A little RTV sealed it fine.  I am not aware of anyone that reproduces the gasket.

3M 08578 black strip calk is what the Chevy dealership uses here. The only problem is you have to buy so much of the stiff.
