fuel selector valve

I got a truck, and when I tried to switch tanks nothing happened. A previous ownerun hooked the driver side tank and I want to hook them both back up. I have been looking for a manual valve to hook up inside the cab but cant find one anywhere. Anyone know where I can find something that will work?

I got the last one from NAPA, but it has been a while ago.

You can get them from ebay, search for on (GM,GMC,Chevy,Chevrolet) Fuel (Tank,Transfer,Selector) Valve

I just got a new one for $13 shipped on ebay. The valves have different part numbers and come from Delco, Standard, and other places but, they are all made by the same company, Pollack. They come in 3 port and 6 port versions, depending on if you need a return. 6 ports are for returns systems. Lately it looks like Pollack only makes the 6 port anymore and when you order a 3 Port you get a six port with three rubber caps over the return lines.

You can get them through NAPA, Partsamerica.com, discount auto, etc. J.C. Whitney stocks them too. They will run you anywhere from $45-$65 retail depending on where you buy.

The Pollack Valves are very popular with people that convert their cars to run on Vegetable Oil. and ebay search for (Pollack,Polack,WVO,SVO,Vegoil) Valve will turn up a bunch as well.

I would think the valve has installation instructions with it if you buy a new one. Since the original valve is located under your passenger side door, wouldn't it be easier to put a new one in it's place instead of trying to install it in the cab of your truck? Or did I misunderstand what you're trying to do?
