Is there any information about installation and the wiring process of the TBI 454/400 into an 86 carb truck ? Has anyone had success with kits such as painless or others? Any help will be appreciated.

the motor should be on a separate wiring harness that goes into the passengers side firewall for the most part. i would try to get a donor and use that harness, would be much easier and cheaper than painless.

Seems like the easiest/fastest (although not cheapest) way to go.
i'm pretty sure Bill Howell worked at GM on the original TBI system so.....
