Snorkel tube

The tube from my K10, going from the end of my air cleaner to the core support is missing.
Does anyone have an opinion if are there good reasons for using one?
And does anyone know if they're still available?
Can say I've looked....

Cold air > hot air.
IIRC, the big block one is still out there, but the small block not as much. If you find one, see if they have two, mine has more Gorilla Tape than hose.

Dandy! It'd be nice if one of the repro joints would make a *new* unit though...
