Reman parts

Just a general question about remanufactured parts.  Has anyone noticed a real difference between reman and new Original Equipment?  Any bad luck with the remanufactured parts?  

I am looking specifically at a hydraulic clutch master cylinder (85 GMC K35) and the reman ones at NAPA are less than half the cost of new ones.  That made me a little cautious about possible quality issues, but I have heard that there should be no big difference.

Any thoughts?  Remanufactured as a good or bad idea?

I have had bad luck with remanufactured parts. I purchased an alternator with a lifetime guarantee. I was changing the darn thing every 6 to 12 months. I fianlly bought a Delco and no problems for 3 years now.

No experience with clutch parts on GMs.

remans useually carry a better warranty, only for just that reason.
Anything electrical that is a reman, be prepared to keep swapping it untill you get one that works.
I would trust a reman part more by purchasing it threw Carquest,Napa, and local mom n pop parts stores. I'm starting to trust Advance Auto Parts, so far they have been good, and give several diffrent choices to choose from online..
