2wd, two piece driveline

I just bought a 73 c10 swb.  it has a two piece driveline.  i looked at an 83 c10, and it only had a one piece.  am i supposed to have a two piece, or what is the deal with this.

Yup, you are supposed to have atwo piece.  Some did, dome did not, ground clearance and less u-joint wear for you.
