Does anybody know what position the weight on the end of the heat riser is when its open/closed? My (76 K10) heat riser does not move (on its own) and the weight stays "up" (perpindicular to exhaust pipe) all the time. Is that open or closed? I would think that it is closed but I'm getting exhaust out of the right side pipe. I think I need a new one but was wondering if its stuck open or closed so I can tie it open.....
