OOOWWFFFF! I think I got a little excited! I love that vintage Chevy truck. They like to rot behind the lower rear of the fender, the same area of the fender, around the hood hinge mount. Also the same area of the floor our trucks like to rot, cab mount area. As far as the bed the rails and wood are the trouble spots.

That thing is sweet...I'd buy it if I was closer and didn't already have a project.

It appears that the rear wheel wells have been altered. Another must check is the rear trailing arms, they rot in 1/2 as well and the cross member that they mount too are all trouble spots. I have had several over the years.

Yeha the rear wheel opening slooked off to me too, but I thought I was imagining it. My 64 2 wheel drive 3/4 ton was also coil sprung with trailing arms.

Up until 73 that is what made GMC heavier duty than Chevrolet in the 2 wheel drive versions. Chevys had coil and GMC used leaf springs, at least that is what I have seen or owned.

I would buy it. Actually those 60 to 66 GMs are my favorites as far as looks go.
There is a 66 dually with a 327 in it that I know of. Truck is in really good condition. I know its hard to do without seeing it but what roughly would it be worth? Its just an original thats basically been parked for the last 30 years. Has a truck camper on back so I dont know what the bed floor looks like. Everything else looks really good on it.

Hard to go wrong with $1000, if your going for the flat paint rod look.
