i think it is 4 inch, it is fiberglass from harwood , be warned if you are thinking of one of these, the fit is not show quality. if you want good fit get steel if you want lite and average fit get fiberglass

That's funny I have a bolt on show series 4 inch outlaw z cowl hood on my monte carlo and it fits perfectly, very much show quality fit on it.

I had to sand the edges and adjust it like a normal hood, and then add some clearance for wipers but she fits perfect now.

I wondered if it was a 4 inch since I have one on my monte carlo I wanted to know what it look like on a truck. We got an 84 and I'd like one on it. If they made a 4 inch steel I'd probably go for one of them.

maybe with some sanding and fitting i could have got mine better also, biggest problem i found is the curve  from front to rear does not match fenders. not one person has looked at my truck and said the hood doesent line up so it cant be that bad.

I think I had the same problem when I put mine on, like the midle was too high and the front and back was good. I ended up having to sand the front and back down then adjust the hood hinges to the fenders themselves. After that she fit really good.

Only problem I have with mine is once the engine warms up the front 2 corners stick up over the fenders just a lil' bit.

All in all though I think yours looks really good, very nice truck and hood looks good on it.

Love it!

I've taken all the molding off mine and will not be putting it back on when I paint it.

Whose brand of grille is that and where did you get it?

If it were me, I'd reinstall the mirrors, drip rails, all moulding and trim, and leave it at that ride height..Thats a mean stance.
