Kodiak Tach
« on: March 20, 2014, 09:34:23 PM »
I'm wanting to use a tach/fuel gauge from a mid 80's Kodiak in my 84 K10 that I'm putting a 6.2L diesel in. I need to know if anyone knows where the tach signal came from on the Kodiak?

Some triggered off the engine flywheel, using the ring gear as a reluctor, some triggered off the alternator, reading stator pulses.

It's difficult to know just how much you don't know until you know it.
In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!
