Good Buy?
« on: January 23, 2009, 08:18:41 pm »
so I think i made a pretty good buy i got in a wreck in my project truck and found a parts truck that has every body piece i need and i bought it for $400 plus he the guy said i can take any part i need off of it like window regulators new bumpers and everything. Then return the truck with whatever is left on it so i don't end up with just a frame sitting on blocks in my backyard

Seems good, just be careful, I'd make sure that he has the title to the truck before you do anything with it, cause there's always the chance that it could be stolen, or something like that....I'd just make sure that it's all good to go before you take anything off of it.

Thats sounds like a good deal, even if it don't have a title get the guy to sign a receipt you should be fine. and don't give him back anything if scrap prices go back up alittle you can junk it and get most of your monies back while cleaning your yard and your neighbors too.

Scrap in Mass. is $100 a ton so even after you strip it you should get a few bucks for it. Don't forget to save the catalytic converter too if it has one, they are wort some $$.
