lug nuts

Just wanted to no somthing if a half ton is 5 lug nuts and a 3/4 ton is 8 then why does my 1986 customdelux 4x4 with a V6 have 6?

Because it is a 4x4.  They all were 6 on 5.5" for 1/2T 4WD
