Almost lost my hood while driving
« on: November 14, 2006, 06:57:00 am »
Well on Sunday I had finished putting a cam in my new engine and got the ruck running, so i took it around the block when a gust of wind blows and my hod flies up, I was going about 25mph, so i step on the brakes and my rears lock and i slide and the hood slams down. Now it was my stupid fualt for not putting the hood latch on but what can I do escept learn from my mistakes. Oh and the engine runs awesome now it burns nasty rubber!

I see you are in FL, here in VA on Sunday, we had wind gusts to 60mph.  The wind blew over three semi trucks with full loads on I 77.

WOW!:eek   but for me it was my fault so pretty much like 5mph winds and driving could lift it easily, but two semi's!
