one piece front clip tilt hood (semi style)?

Would it be possible to do a one piece front clip hood like the one below?  What would be involved in doing such a project?  I haven't looked recently, but do the inner fenders support anything?  I know there's stuff like the battery tray and A/C (which I don't have but want to get), but would these matter if I wanted the fenders to go up with the hood?

Do you want fiberglass or steel?  Steel is going to require A LOT of welding and it is going to be HEAVY when you lift it up.  Inner fenders don't add a lot of structure, but they do ad bracing from the fenders to the core support.  Many people leave them out, but if  you are building a show truck and plan to drive it and have nice paint on it, the firewall is probably going to be hammered with rocks.

Well if it meant that I couldn't keep the inner fenders then I don't think I'd try it.
