Junkyard blues

I got up nice and early today to go hit a few local yards that I haven't been to in a while,and when I got to the first one they tell me they are no longer a u pick it yard as of last month.
THAT SUCKS !!!!!
Then they tell me all of the stuff thats more than 15 years old has been scraped!!So off I go to the second yard,just my luck same story!It seems allot of the yards around here are selling out to immigrants,and they are turning them into "late model" only yards and scraping all the older stuff. I was able to get some small stuff for my s10,but nothing for my K5.
Now I will have to drive between 30-50 miles to go to a yard that has older stuff and I can pull my own parts,any savings I might have gotten will have to go in the gas tank to get there and back.
Sorry for the ranting,but I had to get that off my chest!!!

That is becoming more common. Even here in Texas, where 73-87 trucks are still fairly plentiful, the wrecking yards are doing the same thing. Seems like the "money" is in "late model" salvage. I see fewer "u-pull-it" yards also. It really too bad.
