Can anyone tell me if I can change my 1/2 ton rearend out of my 1987 chevy pickup and replace it with a 3/4 ton rearend out of a 1982 chevy pickup?

yes, the rearend's will swap. Same width anyway. You may have to change the u-joints on the rear of the driveshaft to enable the shaft to bolt up but otherwise it's OK. You'll also have to change wheels so the front's and rear's won't be the same(5 lug front, 6 lug rear).

YES, They do enterchange, but the 14 bff is about 2.5 inches wider, but it is no problem. Also don`t forget the spring brackets, they are different from the 12 b.
