« on: January 29, 2009, 08:53:42 pm »
Working on putting the pedal assembly togeather.  Need a pic or two to see how this thing is supposed to go togeather.
Also any one know where I can get bushings for the pedals?

THX!

Brake pedal? Can't help you on the assembly phase, but I can tell you as of a year ago GM still carried the bushings (2 needed) and a sleeve to tighten things up and quiet it down. Mine had enough play when hitting  a good pothole or bump it made that annoying squeek/rattle that drove me up the wall. Replaced those parts and now it's dead quiet.

The whole assembly?  Post what you have and the problems you are having?

the part bracket that bolts up under the dash to the firewall.  It has the brake and clutch.  I have it assembled, but I am not sure its right.  I have never seen it correctly assembled so its hard to say.  I was hoping that someone might have a pic for reference, but i may have to break in to an old Chevy just to look.  ;)

My wife's uncle probably knows how it goes together, but I will feel defeated if I cant return it assembled in like new condition.

thats what I needed!  I had the bracket for the brake light switch and a light duty spring on the brake that I couldnt figure out where they went.  I also had a new bumper for the clutch but I only had the top part of the clutch (not the pedal) and couldnt figure out where it would actually stop the clutch.

I'll post some pics of my completed assembly when its all done...

THANKS!

No problem.  I had those pics because someone had the same issue a long time ago.
