i'm wondering, when you welded the ladder bar to frame mounts, did you leave the stock suspension and rear axle in place so that everything would be square?  Or did you just measure from some point on the frame?

b) Could the rear axle be moved further rearward, to increase wheelbase (i think everyone knows where i am going with this) using this type of suspension?

Stew, I took the rear axle and suspension out completely and struck lines plum, square etc. then set up the 9".  I guess the axle could be moved back but not more than about an inch. Thanks Whitty,The tire demension o.s. to o.s. is 1 1/2 " wider than the stock 10 bolt with the factory rallys, so yes they will fit inside the fenders with a few alterations to the inside of the bed ofcourse .
