I was riding to a car show in TN with a freind that had a CC Dually on bags. He was at cruising speed with the bags a bit low and we got pulled over. The city cop stated that his bumper was too low to the ground and started to give us some crap about it. My buddy reached over, hit the switch and raised the back end up all the way.

He still got a ticket but it WAS funny

I have a buddy in TN that had a 78 with 12" of lift and 40" super swampers and he got pulled over all the time for it, the same guy also has an S-10 with a 5-7" static drop and has never been pulled over for it.

Around here, you get pulled over alot more towards the end of the month...lol

In this area, unless you are doing something to get noticed, usually you dont get stopped. Oldyellers incident was a one time thing. Ive never heard of one being stopped for a lift, and have a friend that has always had trucks with radical lifts and 44's. I have heard of lowered trucks getting stopped but that was because they were dragging the frame down main street.

Yeah where im from it really don't matter the local cops don't care unless it starts to get out of hand. I've never been pulled over for bein to low. The only time I've been stopped in it is cause I had my tag bolted to the bed and for it in the back glass. They ain't said nothin about my bracket yet but now its all fixed and ready to ride.

i see why they pulled you over.
here in jackson the cops only pull you over if your roll pan does not have the license plate sunk into the roll pan. ( like the factory pan for the 94-97 SS S10 trucks )
