Looking At This 78' Scottsdale K20
« on: July 31, 2009, 10:23:13 am »
At my friends house his dad has a big garage and I peeped inside it and he has this truck in it, This is all he has done to it since he bought it in 84' for $1,000..

New Texas box from 76'
New Doors from Taiwan
New Suburban Hood
New Shocks
New Radiator
New Wheel wells Welded In
Patched up Rocker Panels
Fresh Paint (6 Months ago)
New Mirrors
New-er Seat

---
The faults I have with it are..

1 minor paint chip above grill towards center
Small Rip in seat
Cracks on top of dash
Speedo is broke, but he has the new cable
worn tires, and small rust on wheels

This trucks frame is in magnificent condition with only minor surface rust on some crossmembers and small leaks around manifolds, the gasket underneath the valve covers is leaky.

Oh and the Master cylinder is rusty.

The truck has Full Time 4x4 and it is a 3/4 Ton so it has a big gas guzzling rear end.

It COMES with a plow which was $800 and it has all the controls installed for plow, also comes with trailer brakes inside the truck.

He has over $4500 into it and he is selling it all for $3000  :o

Ill post he pictures as soon as Imageshack works right.

--

Mind you its very dirty and his crap is all over the place and that big stain under the truck isnt from the truck, anything that looks like a chip is a reflection, trust me.  Except for the one above the grill, not the Long white spot, thats a reflection of a chrome tip behind me.

Looks very nice for the price.  Are you wanting advice or just bragging on this find?

Truck looks nice from the pictures, but would really like to see what it looks like outside and without all the stuff on the hood.  Do you have any pictures of the interior?

Even if there is something wrong with it I don't think you can go wrong with the price.

They do sell a part time kit for the NP203, they usually range from $70-$100, so you can turn it into a part time unit, then all ya gotta do is add lockouts to your front axle and your in business!!  Great looking truck!
