skunksmash, 77+ trucks did have PW/PL as an option. The GJ wouldn't, but some 70's did.

I would have bought a 1978 Chevrolet K30, SRW, 454, SM465, NP205, Dana 60, 14 bolt, no A/C, no power windows or locks, red and white.

Then as soon as drove it off the lot I would have true 2.5 inch dual exhaust installed along with a Detroit Locker in the rear.

1980 Chevy Sport 2wd with factory tach,buckets,aluminum wheels ,a/c,power windows and locks etc...not many trucks were ordered with all possible options back then......

Assuming i could plunk down $15K in cash, or qualify for financing in 82-87 which i could not either way. But you did say pretend so......

crewcab with dual wheels
the stock, steel wheels.
6.2 diesel
top trim level---i think this was silverado or grand sierra or something.

4 headlights. i got to have 4 headlights no matter what.

two tone paint with black on top and silver with red pinstripping.

Other than that,i'm not too picky.

2) i was wondering if anyone did buy a new shortbed and later regretted this and yearned for a longbed?
