truck wieghts

how much does a 73 -87 1/2 ton  long box ,v-8 wiegh ? how about the mid 90,s  lomg box v-8 are they that much lighter?
1986 sb 406 ci
2003 mud buggy 1300 hp 528
if my wife askes it was only fifteen bucks

i know that post 80's trucks till 87 were some 300# lighter through glass, frames and other parts!!

They are both around 4200lbs for a longbed 1/2T 2WD.

i was goign to say lighter then 5100lb which is my rclb 4x4 3/4 wiht ~20gl of gas.. full tank its 5600 with out me.

I remember getting mine weighed when I was doing a "Ditty" move when I was in the Marine Corps...ran it across the scales devoid of fuel - washer fluid etc...( had to get her real light before I loaded her down for the next trip across the scales - you got paid by the lb)
it was 4011 lbs... I prob still have the ticket from the scales in the glovebox...
85 shortbed...She digs it...

My '83 2wd shorty is ~3800lbs leaving the dump empty. I don't imagine a longbed being too much heavier.
