I've used sheet metal and diamond plate covering the factory bezel

Looks good...real good...I can get some sheet metal at work, i might try that and paint it black.... How did you wire up the turn signal lights..?

I was also thinking, if i dont cut the circut board and just the plastic and leave the turn signals where they are i think ill be ok. I made a nice aluminum cover for the bezel like you made but i stopped it instead of going around the vent and heater controls, it seems to fit real nice and we had the correct size hole saws so it made it real easy so far.  Im not sure how to attatch it, i was thinking some small button head bolts  or just use the same holes as the bezel with longer screws....any ideas..? Hows yours attatched..?

on the diamond plate I used a couple rivets to hold it on the bezel, and and used the factory screw holes

These arent autometers but thet have a decent rep in hotrodding and have good reviews, they look a lil old school but they will do....heres what i did, the oil and water were hooked up after the pic and the floor guages were removed.

Also i am in ther process of making a piece to go around the vent, stereo, heater, wipers and the light switch to give it a nice look.
