I recently purchased an 84 k-10 Silverado. To my knowledge it is completly stock except for an excel distributor, 4 inch lift and 35x12.5x15 tires. The 305 still runs well enough but has a horrible mess of an exhaust. Stock exhaust manifold has a bad leak on the passenger side and the smog lines have some rust holes in them. The smog pump itself has been removed by the previous owner.
If I were to buy a set of headers likes these
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G9006 can I just remove the rest of the smog lines. I live in a state where there is no inspections so emmissions is not an issue. Also any tips on getting the old exhaust manifold off with out busting a stripping bolts?
