hey guys and girls.
I have recently aquired a 73 Cheyenne Super 10 which is a heavy half ton with a 454ci engine.
My truck also has the woodgrain body vinyl....I am trying hard to find a source for this as I would like to restore the truck to new condition.
All of the paperwork I have on the truck seems to indicate that it has 30K on the clock but it has been sitting for about 17 years.
I rebuilt the engine and replaced all the gaskets in the tranny and on an on.... I love the truck alot!
Here are some pics, let me know what you think and please let me know if you have a source for body trim clamps and or the woodgrain vinyl covering.
I look forward to meeting you guys!
now for some pics.....

Well thanks so much, I love old things! It's almost as old as I am...lol
From what I can tell it seems to be a bit of a rare truck with the woodgrain body trim. I would love to see if another forum member has one like it in restored condition or any condition for that matter.
The guy I bought it from told me it belonged to his grandfather that passed many years ago and the truck just sit around under a carport for 17 years, i have had to replace a lot of stuff but still only have about 7k invested in it.
I bought it for 350.00 and the rest has been on restoring the dry rotted bits.
Even still i would be hard pressed to find a truck this well made for the price invested. i can't wait to put it back in original condition.

Welcome to the site BillyBlaze! And wow--- that old truck is a bone-stocker's dream! You sure have that BB lookin' clean n' mean--c'mon!?
On the woodgrain thing; if you're looking to do a resto, I suggest a look on Eastwood's site. (
http://www.eastwood.com/
) Not even sure they would carry something like that but they do have a forum and am betting you might get some leads there... also, Hemmings Motor News comes to mind, check them out. As far as body/trim hardware; I've bought some pretty good stuff from these guys (
http://www.truckandcarshop.com/7387.html
) and what really blew me away was walking around inside their showroom, they've got glass cases all along the walls filled with TONS of old/NOS GM/Chevy car and truck parts and I'm talkin' about stuff back to the early '50's--- a restorer's NIRVANA! (too bad you don't live local, eh?)
Anyway, good luck and looking forward to seeing the progress on your truck

Thanks guys!
Hey Dave, I have a catalog from the Truck shop in Orange,....they do have a lot of nice rare stuff....however they dont have the trim clips that hold the trim on the body.
I do plan on ordering some gaskets and things from them though for sure
Here's what I have done so far...
rebuilt engine
tranny seals
steering box
starter, coil, distributor, plugs, wires, battery
intake manifold and 750cfm edlebrock carb
exhaust pipes from manifold back with glasspacks
My next projects are Bilstein HD shocks and a brake proportioning valve
and a real factory style seat cover
I will post pics of the project as I go through it.
Thanks again guys for the kind words

I would suggest finding a vinyl company or something and see if they can duplicate it. Otherwise, I don't remember if we found a reproducer on those. might check this thread, bake315 has it on his 74:

Thanks!
Thats a cool looking truck in the link.
I found a place that has a pretty close match to the vinyl.
Here is the link
http://www.stripeman.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=Graphics&Product_Code=585-2260+Jeep-Cherokee-Wagoneer-Woodgrain&Category_Code=WGD
looks pretty pricey but hey...it's worth it to keep it close to original
