Has any body tried or thought of putting a 67-72 chevy body on a 73-87 4wd chassis?    if so......let me know if i could get in over my head?           thanks

Question is why not put a 67-72 body on a 67-72 4wd and leave the 73-87 4x4 for the 73-87 trucks..  I`m sure there are plenty of trucks out there that are within that year time frame you can find at a good price.

like step said you could use a 67-72 4x4 frame, w/ springs and just set the axles under her and be done

There will be wheelbase issues, the 73-87's are longer.
