Drop spindle questions . help
« on: March 09, 2010, 06:51:46 pm »
Getting ready to purchase my suspension in the next couple of days. I need some advice on which ones to go with. I am going to change the brakes over to 1.25" rotors when I do it. Overall drop in front I'm looking for is 3.5" front 4"rear. Wheels are already installed Boss 338 18x8 front w/255/45r18 and 18x9.5 rear w/295/45r18. I figure i will trim some off the factory coils to put level where I want it depending on spindles.    SO WHICH ones mcgaughy, bell tech, djm         Help.   I understand that it will push my track width out in the front 1/2" each side and that will be no problem.

I dont think its gonna matter which company you go with... grunion fabrication has great deals on "kits" fyi... I have a set of McGaugys on my truck right now. Its what ever you can get a better deal on really. No matter what comany you go with, your still going to have to have it aligned. I aligned my truck dead nuts perfect and rode on it for about 1.5 years and then threw the McGaugys spindles on and jacked it all up. No biggie, just re aligned the truck.

Ive got Bell Tech on my 86.  I got a 3" drop, which is what they are rated.  There were no installation problems.  I also did the brake upgrade when I put on the spindles.  Make sure you get the brake hoses to fit the 1 1/4" calipers.

Any kits will work as we discussed on the phone.  I will get you a quote on a 3/4 tomorrow.
