Door panels??
« on: February 08, 2010, 10:45:03 am »
I just purchased like complete like brand new oem gray door panels off E bay and they are some kinda nice, I got very lucky.  The question I have is, they have wood grain inserts in them so now I'm going to have to get the wood grain insert on the dash by the ac ducts....and was wondering what model truck had wood grain??  If anyone could help that would be great

I have only seen woodgrain on the nicer 1988 on up Suburban.  Post some pics and I am sure someone will tell you exactly what to look for.

I had woodgrain in both my 1989 Chevy Suburban as well as my 1991 GMC Suburban both with LS Trim Package.  woodgrain was on door panels, dash pad and gauge surround.

What year is your truck?  Woodgrain has been offered on all years.

I know the older 73-80 had them, I just never saw the 81 on up with them except the top of the line Suburbans 88 on up.  I learned something today, cool...

Yep, I got them. Woodgrain insert on gage panel face and across the a/c ducts on the dash.

I'm not going against what your saying at all, but I thought the suburban panels would have more power window switches on the drivers side panel?  If they are in fact suburban door panels they will still work on my 85 Silverado truck correct?

Hmm... got a point there. Just never saw that short trim on anything but a sub. learn something new everyday. Correct, even if they where suburban they would work.

Thanks for your reply....I'm not sure what kinda model they came off of.  I just know they are oem and they are in awesome shape!!  I'm in the process of restoring a 1985 1/2 ton short bed 4x4 from the frame off and these will be awesome for it!!!
