Does anyone here have a truck thats lifted 6" with 36" tires? I need to know what the bumper height is...here in michigan we have to be 28" or lower from the bottom of the bumper to the road.

Michigan states that if it is under 7500lbs the frame height cannot exceed 24".
Between 4500 and 7500 bumper has to be no more than 26"
and not blocks in the front and non above 4" in the rear.
Generally these restrictions limit you to the stock height of the highest truck with a reasonable tires on it, and if this is your Blazer, you are going to be pushing that with a 26" bumper height.
I would think with a 36" tire and 6" of lift, you are going to be above the limits on some of those if you consider the 36" tires are already taking up 18" of your 26" on the bumper, then 6" from the lift, that leaves you with 2" to play with and I am thinking, that will put you well past 26". I would check with local shops, they probably won't sell a kit that will get you in trouble.

Make some bolt on tabs that hang down to the required height. Make a tie bar that goes between em. There...now you meet code, and can take it off when offroading.

I'm actually not too worried about it, where I live its out in the country. Its all mostly farms everyone and their brother has a massivly lifted truck that exceeds 26" by almost double and the local cops have never said anything. I'll most likely just have to fab up a lower bumper for when I drive into cities, which wont be too often. Another question I had was, will 36" tires fit with a 4" lift? Theres quite a price diffrence between the 4" lift and 6" lift.

My 85 K10 Stepside is riding on 35x12.5 with a 6" lift, and she measures 25" to the lowest part of the front bumper. Your going to be close no doubt about it.
