Big Bad Chevy - Emphasis on the words Big and Bad...

Specifications
  • 2004 Chevrolet Custom Kodiak - Kodiak Cab with the center section of a 1996 Chevy Van grafted between the front and rear of cab.
  • 6.6 Duramax Diesel Engine.
  • Allison 1000 Series Transmission.
  • New Process 273 Transfercase.
  • 15000 Ramsey Winch - Front.
  • 10000 Winch - Rear.
  • 3 Fuel Tanks, Two 60 Gallon Tanks and One 50 Gallon Tank.
  • Rear Bed is 2007 Chevrolet Dually Pickup Bed - this is a Dump Bed and a Roll-back Bed.
From a distance the paint looks really good but up close it's lightly stained, lightly oxidized and has light swirls throughout the paint since it was first assembled.

So tomorrow night I'll be buffing out the paint and detailing everything else to bring the overall finish quality up to a higher standard.

Thought you guys might enjoy some before pictures of the truck...

Here's what the paint looks like up close,

Heres' the truck...

Heck with the stains, I gotta get one of those trucks. I love it. A good friend of mine has a 4500 crewcab with the hauler bed on it as a daily driver.

Pretty sweet.
Whats the front axle? Rear is most likely an Eaton. Looks like 315s on the front?
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

I updated my first post and added some specifications, the truck will be here tonight and I'll check with the owner on the front and rear axles.

I hope there is a sign when leaving the back seat out the back door, "watch your step" and it come equipped with a parachute.
I can see my mother in law getting in and out of that, she has a hard enough time with my 3/4 ton 4x4 sub.

I like it, saw a green one in Truckin' a while back.

Lets see....$3.12/gallon for diesel in my area times 170/gallon capacity=$530.40....yeah I could drive it twice a year...lol
