little cough in engine
« on: April 14, 2010, 07:03:57 pm »
i got a 350/350/203 truck.....    its motor is just fine running up to speed and upon regular feeds of gas. but when i stab the pedal just to
get a slight rev/sweet sound (say at a red light just to mess with the girls or such)   it coughs like it misses.  it never goes dead. ever.  but
it will miss and have to catch up to normal. normal idle and red light take off is fine.  only under a quick speedy stab of the pedal  does it do this.  runs fine otherwise. can anuy of u truck guys throw some possibilities out there?  will check and evaluate all.    ive come to the conclusion that ill never get ahead of all of you in knowledge so my job as help to others is hindered. but know if i knew anything that would help anyone.  id be there............................... thanks guys.

Sounds like an accelerator pump in the carb is probably getting bad.
