6 leaf to 4 leaf?

I'm wanting to get new sprigs for the rear of the 82 (lwb) 2 WD stock 305. It presently has 6 leafs in the springs. I was checking in a catalog   and the 6 springs are $330.00 each.  The 4 leaf is only $120.00 each. Would it be a problem switching to the 4 leaf? Once restored there will be very minimal hauling (maybe a few sheets of plywood or a few 2x4's now and then) and no towing. would I be shooting myself in the foot by going with 4 leaf? That extra $400.00 could be put to use in other parts of the restoration. thanks

No problem it will give the rear a lower look also most guys that I know that want to level out the truck will just remove a leaf. If no towing or hauling is done why not by a car LOL jk. An your ride quality will be a little better not as Much bouncing in the rear

I had 7 in my swb 2wd. I removed 3 and now have 4- it rides perfect. I have hauled 40 gallons of paint without a problem.

Thanks. Most of the towing and hauling will be done by my 2001 silverado. It would be hard for me to bring myself to throw something in the back of the 82 once the frame off is complete.
