Will 79 manual door panels fit on 87 manual doors and work properly with no problems?

&

My cab needs new doors, dash, heating installed, and it has a crack in the windsheild that needs replaced.  Should i just replace the entire cab with a good one with all that I need including the doors etc, or just do everything one piece at a time?  What would you do?  The windshield cost $225 alone and the entire cab will cost me $300.

Did u end up trading for that 87?

To answer your question about the 79 panels fitting on 87 doors I am going to say most likely not and the panels will clash with the 87 dash pad.

With replacing the whole cab...IMO, the only time this is necessary or worth it is if the rockers, cab corners, floor pans, braces,.... Are completed rotted and you find a solid cab that is rust free.

Call around for windshields, I got mine installed for under 200 from Safelite.
