Yoke strap to girdle upgrade
« on: September 14, 2010, 05:39:23 pm »
Anyone know where to get either u-bolts or girdles for a 14 bolt 10.5 with a 1350 u-joint?  I can't seem to locate any.  My straps are so stretched i can rotate the end cap with the fully tightened down.  Chris can you get them?  Thanks in advance.

I get my drivetrain parts locally, or if they don't have them I get them from randys ring and pinion.

I have been looking locally and can only seem to find replacement straps, which I won't buy.  I really want the girdles, but would settle for the u-bolt style if all else fails.  My area doesn't have many performance retailers, pretty much have to drive an hour in any direction to find stuff which sucks.

Randy's doesn't have girdles and they don't know who does.  I also looked at a ring and pinion set and can't believe how expensive they are.  I figured everyone would be getting rid of a 3.42 ratio for some 4.10 or 4.56, but those ratios are so much cheaper and easier to find.  14 bolts are so expensive, wish i had a 12 bolt, or even dana 60  Heck, now I'm even willing to trade straight up r&p or whole axles.  Looks like I'm on my own as usual, being unique is so challenging.

That's exactly what I was looking for!  I found similar ones at Jegs and they only $45, so I'll be getting them.
Thanks for all the help.
